On Friday the 25th September, ehouse joined the thousands of people across the country taking part in the UK wide Macmillan Coffee morning, in the effort to raise as much as we could for their cancer trust. With a professional coffee machine, personal barista, a plethora of baked goods and wonderful volunteers, we are very proud to say that our event was a great success raising a grand total of £553.44.
Working alongside the management team of York House, we created an event that was open to all the tenants in our building. Thanks to Liquidline we were able to provide excellent coffee from one of their snazzy bean to cup machines, and they very kindly provided us with our own barista to help us out and make excellent coffee for everyone. .
The whole office got involved bringing in home baked goods, and providing us with lovely little treats for us to sell, and even volunteered to man our cake stand. The Macmillan ethos of promoting and retaining a sense of community was really captured throughout the event and we raised so much more than we had anticipated. We couldn’t have achieved anything close if it wasn’t for the charitableness of the tenants of York House and we, along with our representative from Liquidline (thanks so much for the delicious coffee, Chester!) had a wonderful time. .
We can honestly say that ehouse really look forward to doing something similar in the near future.
Boosted with the success of this event, we are also keen to take on some more charitable challenges. From the infamous Movember month, to our classic Christmas jumper events, we would love to see if anyone else would live to take part. With more details to be released closer to the time, we would be most grateful to anyone and everyone who would like to get involved and donate. Watch this space!
